But how do you address. With the new TSA approved locks you can now lock your luggage, however just do a search on Google and you will see that one of the new issues facing TSA is the arrests around the country of the TSA agents for stealing items from within luggage.

The luggage Safety Pooch / Pouch works as follows:

The pooch / pouch is laid on the floor and you position your luggage over the bag to see which way it fits better. The following is an example:

Tall luggage

Small luggage

Standard luggage

Duffle Bag

Match your luggage to the corresponding image above when applying the pouch. Note that for each type of luggage, the position of the bag’s handle will determine how to insert it into the pouch. The pouch will fit snuggly and the handle will be exposed through the correct opening.

The Safety Pooch / Pouch is designed for checked-in luggage. Most airlines allow a size limitation for checked bags of 62 in (157 cm) each. The size limitation of your luggage is calculated by adding the total outside dimensions of each bag. Use the formula length+width+height to determine the dimensions of your bag.

How to Use the Pouch?
Locate the three Registration Number decals in the travel manual and place one on each pouch and one on the Luggage Tag.

Open and slide the pouch over the luggage. Locate and pull the handle through the opening on the top of the pouch. The opening should be smaller than the handle. You must apply pressure to completely expose the handle.
Turn the luggage on its side.

Pull the open end of the pouch and wrap it snuggly over
the luggage. Identify the white and clear seals along the bottom of the pouch.

Hold the end firmly while pulling the WHITE CUSTOMER SECURITY SEAL and seal the pouch ( do not remove the CLEAR AIRPORT SECURITY SEAL). Apply the luggage tag found in your travel kit. Using the permanent marker, write your name and flight information on both pouches and the luggage tag.

To expose the luggage wheels, use the plastic cutter found in your travel kit and make a small incision at the base of each wheel.

Registration Number Stickers

It is important to apply the registration number stickers to the luggage tag and pouches which correspond to the Travel Kit. This will ensure that your luggage can be identified in case it is delayed, lost or stolen. You will notice that one sticker has been removed and placed on your Travel Kit envelope. Place the unused pouch inside your luggage for your return trip.

Travel Card

The unique registration number plus PIN is also located on the Travel Card above. The passengers should remove the Travel Card from the manual and maintain it in their possession. Our customer assistance representatives will need these identification numbers to track delayed or lost luggage.

ePassengerCare TM Luggage Protection Service

Did you know that according to experts, over $10 billion in pilfering, theft and loss of luggage occurs annually in the United States alone? This problem transpires on an even larger scale internationally. Current airport security measures mandate a ban on locking your luggage prior to check-in. This, coupled with an increasing volume of luggage and lacking airport infrastructure continues to fuel potential problems for the assurance of your luggage protection.

How do you check you luggage with the ePassengerCare Travel Kit Safety Pooch?

Airport Security Procedures

On Departures

United States Travel
When traveling within the United States, the traveler should apply the pouch and seal the White Customer Security Seal prior to entering the airport security screening area.

International Travel
Most airports outside of the United States conduct airport security screening prior to ticketing. The traveler should apply the pouch and seal the White Customer Security Seal after the luggage screening process.

Note:
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), suggests that you help prevent the need to break your locks by keeping your bags unlocked. The Safety Pooch provides a tamper resistant alternative to traditional locking devices.

Manual inspections
When airport security personnel open and manually inspect the luggage, they can reseal the pouch using the Clear Airport Security Seal.

On Arrival
Most of the time your luggage will arrive without a problem. However if the bag is opened, you are immediately aware that your luggage has been opened and you can check it right away. If your luggage did not arrive as planned, along with the airline baggage service notification, you would call the "passenger Care" Customer Assistance Service number immediately to obtain immediate assistance. You will need to have your claim receipt from your missing luggage and the luggage registration number / PIN located on the back of your travel card.

Tamper Seal:
If your luggage was selected for manual inspection, the White Customer Security Seal will be replaced by the Clear Airport Security Seal. In this case you should find proof of inspection inside your luggage in the form of a pamphlet or sticker. If you do not find any proof of Airport Security inspection, your luggage may have been pilfered. In this case go to the airline luggage counter and process your claim. Remember pilfering is a crime of opportunity. Your pouch will make your luggage a harder target.

Pouch Disposal:
The Safety Pooch pouch is made of recyclable plastic. Please dispose of your used pouch in an airport trash bin, home or hotel. Use your plastic cutter to remove your pouch.
